Me Too! Much better bulb, reasonable cost, No problems for oncoming traffic, why wouldn't Ford go with this?

Going to the H9 is definitely an inexpensive upgrade that nets you a significant headlight performance increase in lighting.

Trimming the tab of an h9 bulb to fit in the h11 housing. The h9 is 65w compared to 55w of the h11 and gives a whole lot more light for cheap

Info isn't scattered, 10 pages and almost 400 posts, it's all here: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/easy-...ht-mod-313120/

Yep trim the top tab a bit, trim the small plastic guides in the connector end and install the bulb in place of the craptacular h11 bulb and you get almost double the lumens. The power difference between them is very small but the output is much better with the H9.

I meant lighting upgrades in general. One post says "X" light is best then I see another that says don't use them its junk... ect. This is my first vehicle that I'm contemplating upgrading lights on.

Thanks for the link though, I didn't realise 2015 and 2018 were the same bulbs. I assumed that since the housing changed the bulbs did also. I was only reading posts that mentioned 2018.

Replace low beam h11 with h9
Replace high beam 9005 with 9011
Replace fog light 9140 with stock 9005 high beam bulb.
