H7 conversion to f150leds.com question
i bought a set of aftermarket headlights (came with h7 or 11's I forgot) as well as the mark III leds from f150leds.com but the connections are completely different. I forgot to take a pic of the harness that came with the headlights (I'm an idiot) but it was a small end connection and looked nothing like the original or aftermarket led's harness. Do I need a special harness?
Well what did you buy from them? I'm a competitor of theirs but can tell you that the H11/9005 bulbs used on the factory housings are completely different then what the Anzos/Spyders use.
The Anzos use an H7 and it looks like the Spyders also use an H7.
We have a kit for our LED lights for the Anzos that include boots/silicone/etc... necesary for a proper installation. For the Spyders... well we're not that familiar with what size boot is needed on the Spyders but would have everything available for those.
You'll need to buy new LED's since the halogen lights (most likely what you bought them for originally) use a different bulb size.
If that's the case, check out our site. We've been selling our XHP series long before those guys and we also offer a projector H7 for the low beams. Not to mention better pricing
These are H11 bulbs (low beams on stock housings):

And these are H7 Bulbs (you can see how they have a different base):

H11 connectors are also different which look like this:

H7 connectors look like this:

So the Spyder lights use an H7 bulb for low and H7 for high and your stock housings use H11 for low and H10/9005 for high... so you can't use the same bulbs in the Spyder/Anzo housings. You need to buy new lights. With that in mind as I said, you also need some additional items when installing LED lights on a 2015+ Ford. As I said we offer a kit for Anzos for this purpose and for the stock housings but not the Spyders. They are VERY similar but the back rubber cap might be different.
So that would mean you'd have to buy the lights, buy the right size cap on the back (or if the existing Spyder caps are big enough to cover the bulb you are all set, which they look like they'd be big enough in the photos). But you'll want to install the LED Driver/Ballast outside the housing... so you'd want to possibly look at buying H7 extension wires so you could extend the ballast wire outside the boot, then run the bulb wire through the boot (similar to HID lights)
