Default GVWR Question

I was looking at 2016 F150's today. Most had a 6500 GVWR package. (no cost). Some had a 7050 GVWR package (no cost). If you order a truck, can you specify which GVWR package you want? Or is there some other factor that determines which package you get? There didn't seem to be any consistent determinant of which package was on a particular truck.

GVWR is determined by engine, cab configuration and drivetrain (2wd/4wd, not gears)

The only way to change it is with the payload package.

A 2.7EB with payload package has about the same GVWR as a 5.0 or 3.5EB without the payload package (assuming the same cab and drivetrain configuration)

6500 was probably a 2.7EB 4x4 SCrew.
7050 a 3.5EB or 5.0 4x4 SCrew long bed.
