Default Graco Tranzitions install help

So my wife bought the above mentioned car seat for my son and we are having a hard time getting it installed in my 16 SCREW. Trying to put it on the rear passenger seat forward facing, my daughter is on the rear driver seat still rear facing. Trying to leave the middle seat open to keep them from getting to each other while driving.

I ran the teather under the rear headrest, through the hoop, and used the metal clip to hook onto the middle rear teather.
Ran the seat belt and tried to tighten it down, but it still has a lot of wiggle in the seat. My wife said it should be 1 inch or less of wiggle, so for now, its installed in the middle.

We cant use the LATCH system to clip onto the hooks at the bottom of the seat (My son + seat exceeds the 65lb weight limit) so seatbelt is all we can use.

Anybody else on here use this seat and have issues or find a way for it to work? If we cant figure it out guess or next step will be to try the fire station and see if they can figure out the install.

Thank you,
Jake

I know you said you tightened the seat belt down, but did you "lock out" the seat belt first? Extending it all the way out and then feeding it back in to tighten? You will hear a "clicking" sound as it winds back in.

Looking at the manual for that car seat, 65 lbs is the max for forward facing use with the harness, using either the seat belt or LATCH system to secure it. You are getting close to transitioning to a booster with typical seat belt use (30-100 lbs).

Get the seatbelt into the locking mode and then have someone put all their weight onto the seat while you pull like hell on the seatbelt to get it tight as possible. It's a bitch but can be done.
