Default got to sit in one

well I got a chance to sit in a loaded up lariat today. The seats and seating position is a huge improvement over my 13. the whole position of the wheel seat seems much better. That said the middle counsel seems a bit wider and didn't feel as roomy in the front seat.

sunroof is huge... would not like that. push to start pretty cool. The spot lights on the doors are really cool and something that would be very usable.

Back seat still monstrous and very comfortable. Tailgate remote open really cool. wish it would go back up. Ambient lighting pretty nice. Driver screen has a lot of good info. really liked the boost gauge.

Overall the truck looks better in person than I really thought it would. Decent GY tires with Kevlar a plus.

MSRP was a tad over $55k. could have bought it for $50k. Sitting right next to it a loaded up lariat F250 Crew with 6.7 diesel msrp of $61K and a buy price of $51k. Think I will wait for some rebates. no way in hell would I pay within a grand for that truck vs. a loaded up 250 diesel. haha in fact maybe I will think hard about a diesel. rant over...

these are very nice looking trucks. I was actually really surprised how nice they look in person. night and day difference in comfort with the new seats and seating position

Interesting you posted today, I was going to post about my first experience sitting in a Platinum today. My current truck is a 2013 FX4 Appearance Package. My impression was that the width seemed as much or more than my '13. It seemed like there was more room all over the interior. Quality and layout is impressive. Can't imagine reviewers saying that the '15 is just caught up to competition on interior. Ford is easily ahead of the herd with this one! Very impressed.

Cab interior is about 2 inches wider this year. They put all that space between the seats. Thus the console is 2 inches wider.

I currently have a 2014 F350 fully loaded diesel lariat and I currently have a deposit on a 2015 f150 king ranch that a dealer is receiving within a week or so... The 2015 F150 is saying and doing alot to make me do this switch. Additionally The diesel emissions regulations and added unnecessary costs helped tip the scale toward the F150.

That is something you need to consider when comparing a loaded f150 to a super duty the price difference between the trucks may be close but the additional running costs of the super duty may not be worth it. With 30% higher fuel costs for diesel, the diesel emissions fluid which you will probably spend about 80-100 dollars a year on and the oil changes costing three times as much as a regular oil change with definitely worse fuel economy than the 2015 model makes that price gap a bit larger. Also the diesel particle filter will go into an active regen around every 200-300 miles burning up a gallon of fuel to clean the filter out, just increasing the over all running costs.

I agree with the xtra cost but to me it was worth it . I traded my 14 KR last month in 15 250 and am happy so far. Fuel economy is way better and just seems to fit me better if that makes sense. I will go back to 150 when ford decides to bring the pain with a 500+ hp raptor. Or a little powerstroke.
