Default Google Maps odd sound

Kinda crazy... I have a 2020 Lariat, iPhone 12 and use Google maps mostly. Everything is updated. From time to time (seems when around hotel areas, or even rest stops) I get a mysterious Boink, or doink sound from my carplay speaker, and it's associated with Google maps. It happens at radon times, but is repeatable in certain areas (ie out of town and by Hotel environment). I have no idea, maybe iPhone trying to connect to an ATT tower for wifi and changing between cellular and wifi, really no idea. Happen probably 5 times over the weekend while traveling, and has done it before. Anyone else or any ideas what it could be?

For me at least, google maps(On my android phone) has been acting very odd for the past few weeks.
I too get the "boink" noise randomly.

Had one instance where it got stuck in a "rerouting... on next turn, turn left" loop til I restarted my phone.

This helps none, and I am aware...

The "Boink" sound usually means that Google Maps thinks you are off the navigation route. Perhaps your phone GPS is acting up, or you stashed your phone someplace where it cannot get good connection to the GPS satellites?

Not really on mine, whenever I get off route, it just re-routes. Not the boink sound. Now maybe the signal is getting interrupted?

One of my map programs, not sure if onboard or g-maps, "boinks" in a school zone.

Hmm, it specifically did it a couple times in a hotel area, and once going down the interstate passing a reststop. I will pay attention but do not recall any message pop up. The hotel area was repeatable, each time I left my hotel area it did it, but not as I approached the area. It's a loud BOINK sound too, really irritating.
