Cool Goodbye Tahoe, Hello F150

Hi everyone, a month ago we traded in our 2009 Tahoe LS for a 2017 F150 XLT SuperCrew and have not regretted our decision for a minute. I have always been a Ford guy and it feels really good driving a Ford again.

Our new truck is a 2.7L Ruby Red XLT,Sport appearance, FX4 package, EL 3.73 rear end, drop in bedliner and dealer installed Katzkin leather. I also got rid of the factory tires and replaced them with 275/60R20 Cooper Discoverer XT/4's before I took delivery.

Here it is the day we brought it home.

The Katzkin interior

Since we bought it I have added a 2.25" ReadyLift leveling kit, Ford splash guards, a DeeZee tailgate damper, Lund Aeroskin bug deflector, AVS Seamless window vents, LED low beam bulbs, LED fog light bulbs, shortened the factory antenna and trimmed the lower valance.

Here is a photo from today.

I may add an aftermarket block to the back to give it a bit of rake since I will occasionally haul our quad and dirt bikes around. Other than that I think I will be leaving it alone

And just because here is a photo of my summer cruiser, 1964 Meteor.

Great looking machine man, I felt the exact same way when I got back in an F150. Congrats!

Oh my God that Meteor is awesome! (So's the truck, of course!)

I mourned the loss of my Toyota Tacoma when it was totaled by a bonehead that hit me while stopped at an intersection. The upside was finding my Ruby Red!

Congrats on the new ride. I have not regretted my decision to go with the 2.7 or the color.

I wish you many happy miles with your new truck, it sure is a beauty!

Haha, thanks. I am the third owner (have original bill of sale, manual etc) the old girl only has 42,*** miles on her. Not cosmetically perfect but an excellent driver.
