Good Bed Cover
#11
I just replaced a bakflip with a revolver x4, they had a really good price over black friday, couldn't resist. the one I had was off a '13 (I shimmed it to fit my '16, has a couple leaks as a result) & the panels were getting too hard to flip for me and the rest of the family.

As others have said, it comes down to cost and what you're looking to do. You can buy an inexpensive vinyl cover or go crazy with a hard painted shell. It really depends on you.
I've had experience with the Velcro vinyl covers, like the Truxedo line, and I personally have the Ford accessory hard roll-up cover (identical to a BAK Revolver). I spent a little extra because I wanted the extra security of a hard roll-up cover.
My last bit of advice would be if you choose a soft roll-up cover, get one with Velcro. They're much simpler to secure and, IMO, more resilient to weather changes.
Best of luck on the search!

Similar to the revolver is the the Sentry CT. I love it since I get the best of both worlds...hard cover + roll-up. The cover is fabric mesh material as oppose to vinyl. When rolled up, the underside is black as opposed to aluminum. Paid 650 which includes the 100 rebate from Truxedo.

The Revolver X4 has a redesign of the weather stripping at the tailgate due 'in Q1 of this year' according to the Truck Hero reps at SEMA last year. There is also an all black version due out in Q2 that will likely be a bit more expensive. The all black version has the aluminum slats on the underside painted, so it looks a bit nicer when rolled up.
One other option is something like the Softopper. I had one on my two previous trucks and really liked it.
