Glove box wood trim on XLT
Just curious if the wood trim above the glove box from a Lariat and higher trim will fit in an XL/XLT that only has the rubber trim mat (non-leather stitched dash assembly). Reason I asked, is I recently changed all 4 door panels out from a Lariat and it has the olive wood on the doors and thought the glove box wood trim would be a nice compliment. Has anyone done this? Cutting involved? Thanks

Watch this video, and you'll be able to see how it attaches and figure out what is different with yours:
The cabin air filter is behind it, and every time I remove it I think it's going to break. It's very fragile.

Lariat Glove Box Trim Area
XLT Glove Box Trim Area
Looks like the XLT is narrower/shorter in height, missing the top row of 3 clip holes. I wonder if I purchased a used wood trim piece on ebay or similar and but the height down if the bottom 2 clip points would hold it enough....
edit: The lower rubber shelf mat looks to fit no problem.

If not (the KR panel I ordered was shorter than the XLT panel), You can buy the woodgrain vinyl to match. I did a different color, but mine has been on for 4 years...
