Default Getting spiders in my truck!

I jumped in my truck yesterday and got a web to the face. Saw a big green one crawl out of the vent, killed it. Saw a few smaller ones in there before and found spider webs on the inside of my windsheild.

Is there any way to blcok them? What if I turn off the ac every time I park it will that help?

It's seasonal spiders. You do know Halloween is right around the corner. They will move on after that.

Or some bug spray.

Do NOT spray insecticides into your air conditioning vents under any circumstance!

They will be gone soon.

I'm just surprised they can get in my brand new truck so easily, cabin air filter won't stop them?

It's possible one (with egg sack) may have hitch-hiked in on a box or another item you put in the truck.

I have had yellow sac spiders in every vehicle i have owned in Ontario. If i remember correctly i read about them being attracted to the smell of fuel.

Usually i only see them for 3 months of the year so no big deal.

They are not coming in your air intake for your ventilation system, they are coming in every opening the vehicle has, and when you open the door.

We have a place on a lake, if I leave the truck outside overnight it is literally covered in webs. When we come back to our house, so do the spiders, and around October I don't see any more webs.

I had something similar happen to me in my previous vehicle. It turned out my roommate put a fold up captain's chair in the back seat on the way to a concert and it had an egg sack. Of course the little ****ers 'hatched' during the 4 hours the chair was in my car. When they reach critical mass there's not much you can do, besides deliberately park in hot places and hope the heat overwhelms the babies. If it's any consolation, they'll cannibalize each other as there isn't another food source in the vehicle.

If they're mostly in the vents, you may try attaching sticky pads on all 4 sides of the vent interior and blasting the heat.
