Is there suppose to be a gear indication on the floor shifter? Usually i thought the gear you have selected turned red to indicate? It does do this in the dash
but the floor shifter indicators just stays blue?

 

Nope. The only one is in the Instrument Panel Console.

 

In newer models, the console shifter gear display does not indicate the gear selected nor light up at night.

Yeah, Ford cheaped out with this feature. My 2017 at least lit up at night on the console, my 2019 and my wife's 2020 don't even light up. Just another example of Ford giving less features for more money as time goes on. Similar to how my 2017 tailgate handle was painted to match on my XLT Sport, but the 2019 and 2020 are just plain textured black. And my console shifter was stitched to match in the 2017, whereas the 2019 and 2020 are not. Oh well, still the best truck on the road.
