Default Frozen door locks Fix

Had the TSB for the frozen door locks done about three weeks ago now. Knock on wood but I haven't had a problem since. We've had rain, snow, sleet and temps ranging from below zero to 50 degrees. I've also pressure washed the truck in the car wash to get the salt off. No issues. I hope I'm not jinxing myself but I wanted folks to know that there is a fix out there. I know the issue is frustrating. Believe me I almost drove the thing off a cliff I was so fed up. Good luck. I hope parts come in before the warm weather

Thanks for posting your update!! May I ask how long you waited for parts and when did you initially know you had a problem? The lack of response and availablity of parts definitely has me not happy with this purchase!! 4x4 that is great as long as you don't use it in the freezing weather. LOL....

I had the problem last winter. One or two locks would not operate at a time. The dealership took the doors apart and regreased. Still didn't work. One time the door wouldn't even latch shut. I had to hold it shut to get to work. Spring came and magically the problem went away. The first cold snap this year the problem was back. I took the truck back, told them I needed a loaner and showed them the TSB (which they claimed to be unaware of). In all, the truck was in the shop for a week. New latches and rain guards installed. So far so good. Only complaint is a strong chemical smell. Maybe a grease or other lubricant. But I can live with that

Is there a working fix? I want to be pro active, I just got my truck last week. I have heard the fix doesn't work.

Mine was in for a close to two weeks including the wait on parts (could have been a little quicker but i has some other small warranty issues adressed) and so far so good....new locks latches and rods with no questions asked and no issues since knock on wood

It would help if you gals would put where you hail from.

That would be some helpful info. as to how cold it is where you are.

Gracias.

Always use De-icer or spray lukewarm water over the frozen locks and place it in the sun. Locks will regain it's position and will work perfectly , this has been suggested to me by a https://www.google.com/maps/place/Locksmith+Sparks/@40.0344114,-122.0782931,7z/data=!4m8!1m2!2m1!1slocksmith+sparks!3m4!1s0x809938d03de1192d:0xaac9e1eba85bffeb!8m2!3d39.5623623!4d-119.835721.

I had parts on all four doors replaced over a year ago an I’m still having issues. The dealer is telling me that Ford hasn’t come out with a fix for the 2016 and 2017 models yet. That’s very disappointing because winter weather is coming up .
