Frozen door 18n04 What are they doing with the foam

Default Frozen door 18n04 What are they doing with the foam

The parts list says foam kit i was wondering if anyone knows what they are doing with the foam

I'm not sure that's an accurate statement. The majority of the water comes from the window trim seal. There is no way they are going to seal that up with foam and still allow the window to go up and down properly. I suspect it is to help waterproof the shielding around the latch.

I had my truck in for 18n04 and there telling me its a reacall extension and they will only do it if the locks freeze after the first recall they are so full of crap the doors freeze is the funny part

they are 100% correct. It will only be performed if the customer experiences the condition

the latches my bad they freeze and are unopenable untill it thaws or i manualy pull up on the lock rod

This FSA is supposed to be performed along with the recall if you have ever experienced the frozen door latch. They are 100% incorrect if they want you to do the recall first and see what happens before performing the FSA.

im going to call ford customer service tommorrow and see if i can find that out my dealer is horrible ive been putting off getting the recall done since it came out.
