Default Frontier replacement bumper

Has anyone replaced their front bumper on a 2018 F-150 I wasn't sure if there was any write-ups on how to remove the bumper. I just purchased a frontier full replacement front bumper that I wanted to install. Just seeing what was required to remove the bumper to make sure I take everything off or not take off too much. Thank you for the responses

Use the included installation guide or a YouTube video. A front bumper changeout is very easy... a 3/10, maybe. Having the right sockets on hand is mandatory.

Be sure to post a photo with the new bumper.

Fab Fours has their installation guide online (that's what I'm running)... perhaps look at theirs and adapt it for your Frontier? Should be pretty similar. The front end is nothing special.

I'd be shocked if it differed in any way from a 2015-17.

That's what I have, too, but I used the printed instructions. A video would have been loads better, but as you said, there's not much to it.

Mine was easy. Drop it off at the shop and say "bolt that thing on there". I'm fully confident in my ability to install one... not so much in my wife's ability to hold it in place long enough for me to bolt it up!

"Tools" needed:
  • big white fishing cooler
  • a few 2x4 as shims
  • some thinner shims
I just stacked things until I had the right height and dropped the bumper on top. That even let me make minor adjustments in position right up until tightening it down.

The rear was another story. You'd think the smaller rear bumper would be easier. Far from it.

Oh, if I really wanted to do it, I'd probably deploy $20K of lifting bags and cribbing and do it that way. One of the perks of the FD. But, time is money... and they've done hundreds of them, I haven't.
