Default Front Hellwig is gone!

Removed my front Hellwig swaybar today. It worked fine as intended but did not improve the handling that much over the stock tow package bar. I took it out and put the stock one back in when it kept making a knocking noise. The bushings Hellwig supplied were not that good. The brackets are kind of cheap. You have to use collars on the bar to keep it from moving side to side. The problem is that the collars are as big as the rubber bushing. The collars hit the metal frame next to the bushings as the bushings wear just a tad. It is a constant knock knock knock all of the time. I could have fixed it by putting a spacer under the rubber bushing and then bolting it down but I didn't. A small spacer would keep the collars from hitting metal to metal. Stock one is in now. Nice and quiet again. A little less "tight" but not enough for me to care. The front bar just is not worth it.

You won't likely see a discernible difference with an aftermarket front sway bar unless you lower the truck and upgrade the struts as well. There's too much travel and give in the stock struts to really say that a front sway bar will make a difference versus the stock sway bar.

A rear one would work wonders though there's none there.
