Default Front collision error?

Driving down the road the other day I had a message pop up on the display that stated something about the front collision not working, sensor blocked. I do not recall the exact wording of the message. Looking at the front of the F150 I can not find any sensors. The window sticker states "Pre-collision assist W/AEB." So the truck should have it installed. I can find the sensors on the back bumper and all around on my Pacifica, but nothing on the front of the F150. So where did Ford hide the sensor(s)?
I hope this is not the starting of electronics errors that can and do happen regardless of what company manufactured the vehicle.

Clutter on dashboard, hanging a hat on the RV mirror, etc. can throw the "view" for the camera off. I believe it's located in the rear view mirror along with LKA if equipped. (not positive if it's in RV mirror or behind front bumper)

There are also a few "sensors" located behind the front bumper. If the bumper is dirty, muddy, bug guts, etc. it can restrict those sensors as well.

Still lots of time with bumper to bumper warranty to figure it out. Have not seen any posts with this being a problem.

Keep the thread updated please.

I think the radar is housed in a black box behind the grill.

Yep, radar box in the grille... camera in the windshield in the plastic enclosure above the rear-view.

Had a big snow storm yesterday, I received a message on Ford Pass that sensor was blocked. After set in garage and melted, everything ok.

I had that happen also last Winter with my Pacifica. The cyclops eye was covered with ice.
I found the sensors, no dirt. Must have been gremlins in the electronics.
Thanks for the info.

I've had this happen in snowy/slushy weather. The sensor on mine is behind the black plastic inserts on the bumper on one or the other side of the license plate, or perhaps both. It doesn't take a lot of slush buildup on it to disable it.
