Front camera pic request
My 2019 Sync 3 system didn't come with the front/360 camera. I'm thinking of adding the front as a parking aid and using camera source wiring or something similar. This system supports a version of the front emblem camera or an aftermarket stand alone. Mounted to the grill o something similar. From what I've read, to use the emblem mount, I will also need to change my grill. It activates by pressing the power button or something similar.
My question for anyone using a front mounted camera, what is the image? Does it show the front of the truck? I like the rear camera because I see the back bumper edge and is a great aid in parking. Any images from a factory forward/front camera and any from an aftermarket one is appreciated.
Also for anyone using an aftermarket, where did you mount it and could you post a pic?
Many Thanks,
Mike

The front camera image is very similar to the rear camera image you see. The "edge" of the front image is the front edge of the truck. I don't push my luck, but it is very useful to know where the front of the truck is when pulling in.
1) A full-screen view from the front camera, showing the edge of the front bumper, so you can park an inch from a wall or someone else's bumper, or see what's in front of the truck when you're headed up a steep mountain trail and all you can see through the windshield is sky.
2) The same front camera view in 2/3 screen with the 360-degree plan view to its right in the other 1/3 of the screen.
3) A forward wide view, which is the front camera view combined with the forward sector of each side camera, each 1/3 of the screen. The result is a 180-degree forward view. I seldom use this one. Could be useful in a tight space or driving offroad to see obstacles like rocks or stumps to the side.
