Default Front bumper insert removal

Is there a trick to this? Want to remove it to do the frown fix, and the other threads say it pulls right out, but it sure feels like it's going to break when I try this. One of the threads says that the metal clips may have to be squeezed, but they're inaccessible unless other parts are removed.

When the front bumper is angled so the rear of it near the wheel wells is lower than the front of it near the grill, it has the appearance of an individual frowning, when looked at from the side.

Yea they just pull off….I’m not sure if you’ll have the option if you have an eco boost with the intercooler or not but I was able to get some needle nose pliers in there to get a couple clips loose and then just pull with gusto.

I’ve found that the best way to not break anything is to sneak up and surprise it when you pull. Seems to work for me 🤷‍♂️

You can pull them off or use a thick putty knife/screwdriver to get them off. Or park the truck on the street one day like I did and let the neighbor kid break it with his bike. Both options were effective for removal.

Yeah, saw this when I did the search. Says, "Remove." Not a lot of guidance there ; )

I vote for the first option!
