FPDM failure?
Apparently, Ford didn't fix this issue completely by 2008?
I just had my FPDM fail at 69000km. Now the service department is telling me they're not covered under the 5 year/100k km powertrain warranty. Yet my vehicles warranty book states that the fuel pump is covered.
Logically, the driver module would be considered part of the fuel pump, wouldn't it?
Has anyone had their's fail this early? I should be raising hell that they're denying any warranty coverage, shouldn't I?

Its unfortunately not part of the fuel pump. Totally separate module.
It'd be like having a 100,000 mile warranty on the engine, then your PCM (computer) fails and it not being covered under the engine warranty. Same relationship between PCM/engine vs FPDM/fuel pump.

Based on your description, they're treating them separately when they shouldn't be.
I don't mean to be argumentative, merely trying to get help understand Ford's logic in this case.
