Default Forscan problem

I've got a question for those more knowledgeable about the Forscan app. I changed a couple of things in Forscan, like trans and engine oil temp, but when I changed the BMS system to disable stop/start the light on the dash does not come on when I start the truck. Is the BMS system disabled and the light just doesn't come on, or what is going on? Thanks.

If you disabled the A.S.S.thru the BMS, instead of an after market eliminator, then yes, the BMS is disabled. Just the light,no.

Then if I'm following you the BMS can be disabled but the light on the dash will not illuminate even though it is disabled.

I take it you disabled yours thru the BMS? The light is extra step. You had to see it on the common page in FORScan? I don't have it on my 5.0L,but did my neighbors, years ago. Newer Ford products ( wifes Lincoln ) use the PSCM, which tricks it that a turn is happening at idle. Just some worthless info.
Good Luck!

Default BMS

I forget which module its in in Forscan, but I did it like it was written on the chart. I used to have a devise that illuminated the light so you could see it was disabled. Thats what threw me off because the light stays off. Haven't put it in Sport mode to see what happens, but I guess the light will come on which means absolutely nothing. Thanks for the reply.

I hope you backed up your AS Built on your modules before you started making any changes. It's hard to tell what model you have in your signature, lol.

yup, backed up the modules. 2018 f 150 lariat. There is a button at the bottom that's got something like "restore all". I think I saw someplace that it restored all the values in that module to factory. Don't know. Don't plan on using it. I think I've changed all that I want changed.
