FORscan issues or normal?
Im not sure if im having issues or if this is normal. Im only concerned with the ACM. I did a lot of messing with it this summer in an attempt to get my aftermarket stereo to sound better. When i go to load all AB at the bottom of the page in forscan a warning pops up saying something about "number of blocks in file" in module doesnt match. It asks if i want to continue anyway, and i click yes. It runs successfully but again when i run "write all" it asks if wantt to force the changes. That might not be the right verbiage, im paraphrasing. I downloaded my AB file from motorcraft. I confirmed the numbers between 727-01-01 thru 727-04 are the same not never the less the problem is there. Also, and i dont know if this matters but between the time that i very first made changes to the acm and when i started having troubles I had to buy the license and update to the newest version.
The reason for this is it seems like somehow with all my messing around ive somehow lost some of the high end(treble) that once was there. The tweeters play but theres no brilliance or sparkle to them. Even with aftermarket tweeters and treble on max. I need to solve this. Ive had 4 different amp speakers combos in this truck It sounded decent when i very first set up forscan. But after all the subsequent chamges ive lost something.

Yep, it’s normal. Forscan changed backup file formatting a while back. You probably backed up with an old version of the software and then updated.
Go on eBay and find a similar truck to yours (year, trim, etc) and use the VIN from the listing to pull its AsBuilt from the Motorcraft site. That will give you a stock baseline to either write to your ACM or use for comparison.

I did the suggested. Copied a vin from a truck on carfax. The AB matched my trucks and corresponds to what i have set in forscan. So it appears that my settings are correct. Another member is convinced that there is still an issue. If i connect an amp vie high level inputs its sounds blah. It might be time to face the fact that this is just how my truck is
. The tweets i put in sounded good in the house but not to much in the truck. I know part of the issue is how they are mounded facing the windshield. This may be good for imaging but speakers are not meant to be listened to facing away from you.
