Default Forscan help

So lets start from the beginning. I have a 2018 F150 3.5 Eco supercrew 4x4. I bought some custom headlights from a guy on facebook used. Headlights looked good they where from Precision Retro. So I bought the headlights I was told plug and play. So I got them installed but couldn’t find a good spot to tap 12v power into so I went with the ignition switch. Well that works but not fully. So I get ahold of forscan and I have someone help me with it and he changes some stuff but I don’t have a back up of what he did. So while I was with this guy changing some things on forscan that did fix some problems I found an issue where I had wire touching that shoulnt be that are for the BCM that I didn’t need to hook up (I was told) these wires touching was causing a short and making my blinker mess up! So we tape everything up and everything is working good for awhile until the other day someone noticed me break lights are messed up. The left one is on the bottom side of the tale light and the right side is on the to side of the tail light! The blinkers follow the lights to so my tailights blinkers and break are messed up. now I’m trying to go back to factory and put my old headlights back in to the truck the problem is I need my factory settings for forscan and I don’t have them!

go to www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt and put your vin in and you will be able to download a file that you can use with for scan that will have all the factory settings for your specific truck. you will be asked to select a country at first then just copy/past that to your addresser and put in your vin. in for scan to load the file you will select load all the at the bottom change it from .abt to .ab and go to where you saved the download to and select it.

When you do as described above it will display all your settings. At this point you can select the settings by dragging your mouse from top to bottom. Copy that and paste it into a spreadsheet. It will be a long list. Makes thing easier to work with in the long run.

Screen shot of dragging the mouse.

This is why people should make their own FORScan changes.

This why you should back up first before making changes.

this kind of over complicates things a bit when you can just take the downloaded file from the site and reset each module individually with it. That how I reset mine when I need to. Forscan has the abutting grab only the relevant info for the module your in from the ford .ab file.
