Default FORscan and APIMs

I've got a 2020 lariat that I'm pretty sure APIM is toast. gives me prompts at every startup, doesn't save any of my settings, loses my paired phones. I'm curious if I get a new one from the dealer can FORscan do the configuration on it? Their site says it can do so on some older models.

It’s a memory issue. Check the forum and you’ll find a post with like 400 replies. I think “sync 3 memory” should find it.

Like Perna00 said it's a memory issue. If you're still under the 36/36000 warranty let the dealer replace the APIM. Just remember it's like replacing your home computer when all you needed to do was remove junk files to get it to run like new.

I've been reading the memory issue is related to version 22251. I've got cyanlabs and updated it but no luck. I plan to roll back to a 19xxx version. Is there a way to wipe everything? Since it's a new to me truck. I haven't done master reset of radio yet. The other day screen went black while driving and every time I slowed down backup camera came on.

Hey there! Can you please send me a PM with your VIN and dealer name/location so I can look into this APIM memory concern for you? To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Send a Private Message to Ford Motor Co". I'd be happy to see what I can do to assist!
