That's what I was thinking as well, first I thought they are being beat up on a track and then figured they were driven like you said normal more or less and at random from line, it also seems like they are taking some of the first ones being produced.

That makes it hard to say. You have a test track and a bunch of executives in that area. But if the price was right, the 6000 miles wouldn't deter me from buying the vehicle.

Of course it depends on the vehicle.

They do testing at both their proving grounds & public roadways.

My brothers buddy was a test driver for Ford in Denver, CO. I would have LOVED his job.

Very common to see manufacturer plates and actual test vehicles on the highways around here.
Some with vinyl camo, some with instrumentation etc.
