Ford Sync MyTouch Questions
My F-150 came with the Sync My Touch version and I'm frankly pretty much baffled by how to get it all set up and taking full advantage of all its features. Any advice? Any great tutorials anywhere?
BIG QUESTION
If my unit did not come with the Navigation option, is there any way to have it added, or rather, enabled? I have the SD card slot. I highly doubt there is not a GPS system in the model.
Any way of enabling this feature?

Tutorials are available on you tube. Factory Nav cannot be added after the fact. There are a couple of options... aftermarket nav, smartphone apps... ect. I went with an aftermarket Nav system that works great albeit a little pricey I missed adding the factory one when ordering my truck by 1 day... here's what I got http://www.intraphex.com/portfolio/ford-navigation/

Yes OEM Nav can be added, Ford just doesn't authorize it.

So, I missed the boat on this. Wish my F-150 could utilize that nice 8" screen for navigation, but makes no sense to spend $600-$1500 and mess around with the OEM system as it is.
Did a bit more looking around and I can get a great 7" GPS system for around $300. So, forget the after-market work arounds.
What a waste of money. Arguably, getting the stock NAV system is a waste.
Thanks guys.

Its a personal choice. I don't knock people for going aftermarket, no reason to knock people that choose to have OEM. If people didn't have opinions and choices we would all be robots....dress the same and drive the same vehicle.
