Default Ford Service Department Problem

I've yet to hear back from anyone regarding my service status on my truck. It was brought into the dealership service department on Wednesday April 17th (two weeks ago,) Although I appreciate the fact that they have provided a loaner truck to me, I prefer to enjoy the truck I purchased last year.
  • I don't know why there seems to be continuous delays with repairing/replacing the rear end as I was informed was in progress. Lynn Layton Ford and I, have been waiting for the "Ford Service" to contact the dealer with repairing or replacing, from what the service department is telling me. I can't seem to get any further notice or updates since that conversation with him by phone (me initiating the call) on Thursday April 25th., until today. I reached out again, still they tell me they are still waiting on Ford
I called Monday 29th and was transferred by lady in service department to service department voicemail. I left message, no response. I texted/chat on Monday and as a result of that text, I have received an email to thank me for using Ford. However, no information regarding my service to which I responded with an email reply notating the information listed above. As of today, i still have had no response, notice, or update to acknowledge Ford is working on this problem. Please let me know as soon as possible if anyone has any suggestions that would help me get confirmation of when my truck will be completed and ready for pickup.

You are a lucky man with a loaner, be careful how hard you bark. Sounds like Corporate dragging their feet

Yup, especially a loaner truck. I had a loaner Fusion while my last F-150's rear diff was being rebuilt. While I certainly preferred my truck, I didn't mind them taking their time when I had a loaner.

Yeah, I'm not really upset, but I guess I had an assumption that it would be maybe a week or so. I'm thinking now it's going to be quiet longer...lol. If they would have told me what to expect, I wouldn't have been worried. No one gave me that so I guess I assumed the best case scenario.

Call the dealership and tell them you need to take a 4000 mile round trip and is that ok with the loaner?

Back in 2022, when my Job 1 F150 was in the shop for just over 2 months to get BlueCruise enabled (the OTA update fiasco), my dealership gave me a loaner Explorer for the entire ~2 months.

OP - with a loaner truck you should not be worrying about getting your truck back. As stated above, the dealership is waiting on Ford to decide whether to replace or repair.

If you need to drive to the dealership, walk into the service department and talk directly to the service manager. If not satisfied go to the general manager.
