Ford Remote Access Subscription Concern
So I just got this email from Ford My Remote Access. This is the service some of us used to use a cell phone app to start, lock, unlock our vehicles from almost anywhere in the world. I use it quite a bit in the winder to melt light snow and in the summer on hot days to cool the truck off as I'm leaving work. We had to pay about $500 for the hardware (IIRC) and $50/year and now we have useless hardware and no ability to use the app apparently.
Please be aware that due to the upcoming discontinuation of the AT&T 3G network, all Ford Remote Access subscriptions will conclude on December 31, 2020. Thank you for being a valued Ford Remote Access customer. We are writing to advise you that your subscription for Ford Remote Access will end in 30 days on July 10, 2020. You can renew your subscription by logging onto https://my.fordremoteaccess.com/home to add a new subscription. To see your subscription renewal options you can click on the Subscription link located in the left column of the user control panel. Please do not respond to this email.
Is anyone else in the same boat? Do you have any more info to share? I know that this app is managed by a company called SpinDance, but that's about it...

What year is your truck? I think the new system is an LTE modem and there is no subscription for the basic remote start/unlock/ location tracking (free).

When I select "Home", then I select my truck (all details including VIN are entered), I do not have an "Engine Start" option...

Posted already. Nothing you can do about it, email clearly explains reason - shutdown of AT&T 3G network.
The new solution is not available except on vehicles ordered with it. Ford sold a retrofit kit for a very short time, then withdrew it from market.
You can get a key cut, program it, add antenna extension if needed, and start remotely with key.

Would think that switching the firmware/hardware in the module to work on a 4g enabled network wouldn't be rocket science... 1st world problems I guess.
There are aftermarket options. I've seen some people on here using a plug and play option with phone app support. I've used Drone Mobile on my previous vehicles.
