Ford Protect
Honestly it’s not for my F150 it’s for the wife’s Explorer “platinum”, it has so many options that if they started breaking I couldn’t afford to fix them. Hers is also a 2017 and only has 15k miles and the warranty is out next month.
I figured this forum would give me an honest opinion.

What kind of coverage/prices are you getting? I have the F-150, my wife has a 2016 Porsche Cayenne. I picked her car up from the dealer Monday ($14,000) extended warranty work, you never know. It is a cool thing to go in and sign and drive off I can tell you that.

Ill try to make this quick. Several months before my 2017 Acadias warranty ran out I struggled as to whether to buy an extended warranty or not. Ended up purchasing. It wasn’t but about 3 months later, the Original warranty ended the A/C quit. Turns out the rear condenser sprung a leak. Without the extended warranty I would have had to foot the $3300 bill myself. I typically don’t buy these things. Lucky this time I did. This car only had 20,000 miles at the time.

It could be the same cost, regardless. Worst case, you are out 2 thousand dollars but at best you have the most reliable vehicle.
A moon room repair/replace is $1500. Fixing/Replacing Auto Climate is not cheap. Sync can cost over a grand.
Most things are computer controlled and will require an hour of diagnosis, for example. That's the cost of our deductible. Now they need to fix the thousand dollar part.
Do your homework and learn what the warranty company will cover. Some items may not be warranty covered.
I bought the premium plan, I printed out a sheet with Flood's price and took to my local dealer. He meet the price, so I purchased the plan from him. I wanted the peace of mind it will offer. I purchased plans on two new Silverados that I purchased in 2008 and in 2015, the 2008 I collected on big time, the 2015 I did not, traded it off for a 2019 F-150 Limited, so did not end up needing it, but it did add a few dollars on my trade in.
