I am waiting on my Perimeter Plus shock sensor to show up from Tasca. Its backordered and should ship in 1-2 weeks.
Instead of zip tying to a wire bundle per instructions I'm going to glue it against the metal body next to the wire bundle.
I was thinking 3M double stick tape but it has a foam core and like the wire bundle may absorb too much shock.
A little dot of epoxy on the box and then mounted to the metal vertical wall under the dash should give maximum shock detection.
Cant help but think that the bundle of wires don't transmit shock as well as a piece of metal that is part of the body structure.
Ive seen the $40.00 Bajamod mount but my method is free and should be just as clean.
Once I get it and install I will report back if my method works or not.
FWIW I have a 2018 Platinum that has remote start already and motion sensors. I'm only adding this so I will gain the shock protection too.
The idea of getting a push notification to my phone when the truck has been tapped is the main reason.
If I am in a store or eating out I can run to the truck and see exactly who is dinging my door or what happened.
In my last 2013 F150 I had this shock sensor and Ford Remote Access too which is like FordPass.
My wife took my trunk to lunch when I was out of town on business.
I received an instant notification that the shock sensor detected shock. I called her and she was eating inside and had eyes on the truck and said no one was around it.
She then went out and found that my tuner suction mount had falling from the front windshield onto the dash due to the Texas sun. It registered the shock and sent me the notification.
Very valuable to have this feature for ~$180. or so.

Not sure how to get phone notifications, but am sure would like to. (Control Freak)
I got the Sync and Sync 3 and perhaps the Ford Link, not sure: I ordered this truck from the factory and ticked most options boxes, over $12k in options and the 302A package. Tried to log in to the Ford Link, but it says I never registered, or I forgot the login or something. I get lost in all the alphabet soup nomenclatures. I know I got the FordPass on the iPhone and it works. Inside the FordPass is a link to SmartLink, which does not work. (Is there a monthly charge for it?)
It says: New User? “ You must purchase and install a FordPass Smart Link device through your dealer and then return to log in to your profile”.
Is the “Device” they are talking about already on the truck and included in Sync and Sync 3?
What do I need to monitor the Alarm system on my iPhone?

So to be clear, with my 2018 King Ranch, all I need is the below to add "perimeter plus" to my existing alarm and no additional forscan programming is necessary to make this work? And this will notify me via the phone app if the alarm goes off? The other day I got a massive door ding that would have caused the alarm to go off had I had a shock sensor so very interested in getting this!

Curious what the differences are between the various iterations of the module, this older one DT4Z-19A361-A- what is the difference from it and the current one JS7Z-19A361-A, and will the older one work on a 2019?

To get notifications you must have Sync Connect on your truck and have the Ford Pass app.
This is the system that allows you to use Ford Pass and lock, unlock and start you vehicle from your smart phone.
The app is what will manage the notifications to alert you if the alarm was triggered.
You also have to set your smartphone to "allow" notifications from this specific app
I believe Smart Link is an add on from Ford to get you this functionality if your truck did not come with Sync Connect from the factory.
