Default Ford Battling Limited Inventory of F-150 Trucks

http://www.foxbusiness.com/industrie...tcmp=obnetwork

Ford Motor Co. (F) continues to battle limited inventory of its best-selling F-150 pickup truck, an issue that has pressured the automaker’s sales.
The nation’s second-largest automaker delivered its first 2015 F-150 trucks at the end of last year. Executives cautioned that it would take months for production to reach full capacity, and through the first five months of the year, total F-series sales are down 1.1% versus the same period in 2014.
On Tuesday, Ford said F-150 supply will further improve now that its truck plant in Kansas City is ramping up production this quarter. The Kansas City factory is Ford’s second to begin making the redesigned full-size truck.
But Ford recently ran into a shortage of F-150 frames that’s further holding back production, according to reports from the Wall Street Journal and industry publication Automotive News.
The Journal cited a source as saying the supplier issue has forced Ford to slow F-150 output.

Perhaps if they did slow down a bit the majority of issues people are experiencing might decline as well (rear seat armrest, seam sealer along the top, door alignment, missing buttons, leaking moon roofs). I'd rather the build take longer and be done properly than fast and up!

Mine has none of those issues... So there's hope!

Maybe you should focus more on the positives. Nothing in life is perfect.

Yeah, F-150 loyalists want to cut Ford some slack over the production of these new trucks. F*** that!! People are paying $50,000-65,000 for a TRUCK, not a BMW or Mercedes, it better be immaculate! That's why you shouldn't buy first year vehicles of a redesign; let them work out the bugs.

Nothing in life is perfect especially with a mass produced vehicle but I totally agree as much as I want the new truck I'll never buy first year model. They always do little improvements with each year and by the last year of the series they perfected a awesome truck. I won't ever buy another truck besides a f150 that I can foresee!

If they can't build them fast enough to meet the demand then the problems must not be so bad after all. Some of what you have listed like the missing buttons applied to a total of 2 trucks that I can recall. WOW that is serious!

Meanwhile, the struggling truck division at GM is adding stickers to all their trucks, calling them 'Special Editions', in hopes of selling a few. lol

I wish that is all I had to pay. I'm in Canada and the Platinum I ordered is going to set me back close to $75k after taxes.

Wow so maybe what 1 truck in how many thousands has an issue.???
I have yet to meet a 2015 owner with a single problem.
I walk over and ask anyone i see driving a new 2015 f150.
So far the replies are things like great truck....and loving the new truck.
