Default Footwell Lighting Power

Does anyone know the best place to get power for footwell lighting so the added lights will come on when the doors open? I'm sure this question has probably been asked and answered already... I appreciate anyone sharing some insight. I just upgraded from a 2010 XLT screw to a 2019 XLT screw.

I have just this same thing, along with running board lights for exit/entry. I tapped into the cargo lights up by the CHMSL. Very easy to do.
Drop your light so you can see it from inside the cab. Between the headliner and rear of cab, there is a gap that you can push a wire thru aiming for the light you dropped. You might have to look for the wire you shoved up there, just shove a couple feet in there and you shouldn't much trouble. Splice into the cargo light hot wire. Go back into cab, and just feed and push wire behind headliner aiming for one side of cab, tucking the wire as you go, behind corner trim, down to the floor. Remove the sill plate, run wire into the channel along with all the other wire. Run feeds under carpet to where ever you want to go. Ground can be grabbed pretty much anywhere.
Lights will come on when door is opened, and will have the delay feature as well.

Thanks for the info!! This doesn’t seem too complicated at all. I’ll post up some pics after add my lights.

I hope it's the same for you, I didn't realize you had a 12th gen, until a couple hours ago.
