Flashing 3rd Break Light
Don't have one on my F150 but I do on my Vette. I bought a plug-n-play unit for it. The Vette sits so low I wanted to have the best chance of catching people's attention when I stepped on the brakes. I hate all of the distracted drivers today - put the damn phone down, people! 😠
There are several different brands of flashers; I'm sure they all work fine. Wiring is as simple as splicing it into the 3rd brake light wiring, tucking the module into the cavity, and reinstalling the 3rd brake light.

Inexpensive brake light flasher that I plan to use.
Well I took off my 3rd Break Light Assembly and found that it does not have bulbs ?? It has 3 White circuit boards that are wired in series, i.e.: wires from truck go into Right side bed light assembly, then into Center Red Brake assembly and finally into Left side bed assembly. I found an install video on UTube for a 2017 F 150 that had bulbs so not sure if Ford did an upgrade later or I have some sort of special lighting package but for now doesn't look like I can install.....
My 2017 XLT came with it. It was installed at the dealer. They put it on all new vehicles and activate it for $299.00! It’s called PULSE. I have noticed people don’t follow quite as close behind me as they used to in my old truck!
