Default Finally got a Gate King!

I saw this at a car show!
GATE KING

A pretty good idea and it would be very handy for anyone with a cap, top, or cover on their bed.
It allows items (eg: 2x4) to stick out while holding the tailgate up so smaller items don't fall out!
It was just too many $$$'s for me for now!

Thought I'd check them again and found it here!....Autoplicity.....at a much less $$'s
So...I bought it!

It's in-the-mail fer now so I don't have any pics yet but thought I let you know of the excellent price!

(btw- I have NO affiliation with anything (listed here))

If it actually shows up, let us know. That price sounds too good to be true considering the list price. I also agree it is way too much $$ for what it does at list price.
I have an issue with my boat trailer brake actuator being tall enough that my tailgate can't drop all the way without doing damage. I'm curious to know if you can set the Gate King so that it only lowers to the same point every time or if you have to set it every time.

Looks flimsy. One good bump with any weight on it and it'll fold. Let us know how it holds up.

Must have gotten the last one or they figured out their price was off. I tried entering my truck and got zilch.

From what I saw at the show, it drops all the way and then can ratchet to the 1/2 open position.

.....and at that price, if it’s too flimsy, I’m not out too much AND they take returns.....👍

Out-a stock?.....try this.

Get the part number from the Gate King website.
Then use that number on the Autoplicity site.

I find the part and the description lists my truck details.

if I search Autoplicity by selecting my truck details it doesn’t come up.
weird! Sumthin wrong on the web....

Neat idea, but way overpriced, IMO. If I had more of a necessity, then the value might present itself.

DG Manufacturing EX Tailgate Support DG Manufacturing EX Tailgate Support

Many lengths available, a lot cheaper. There's nothing like what OP is looking for, but with these you don't have to drop the tailgate completely to install.
