Question, my dealer said the software for this recall won’t be released until may? Was that a lie? Are people getting this recall done now?

I'm not saying your dealer is lying, but I scheduled with my dealer to have the FSA completed by them on the 16th of this month. That was the first available date. He told me they haven't done this FSA on any other vehicles yet, though.

i think if you have a raptor or a limited the tune is different since those trucks have a higher hp version of the motor and the reflash for those won’t be available until may.

This is what the dealer told me as well. I think you're right.

Oh, I've had the flash and still have the cam phaser rattle (cold start noise). Dealer servicer said he'd get back to me after he talks to the shop foreman.

Just had the reprogram performed yesterday. Went out this morning (~35F) and yep, still a rattle on startup. It's quieter but still present. I've had the phasers replaced once already, guess I'll be having them replaced again.

Dealer just called me out of the blue to get this done, they must be reimbursing them well for it! I’ll wait for the oil change.
