Default False trailer connected warnings

2017 f150 4x4 screw 3.5 Eco. When wet I get "trailer connected, trailer disconnected, BLIS warning system deactivated, check left signal lamp and check right signal lamp" warnings. I do not own a trailer and the truck is 6 months old. It's been serviced twice and the trailer brake controller has been replaced and all sensors have been tightened and repaxked with ISO electric grease. Any others have this issue?

Try the 2015+ section, might have better luck there, you posted in the 2009-2014, we do not have fancy stuff like BLIS

Not sure if this applies in your case:

SSM 46507 - 2015–2017 F-150/2017 F-Super Duty - Instrument Cluster Information Screen Defaults To Trailer Tow Set Up Every Key Cycle With No Trailer Attached

Some 2015-2017 F-150, 2017 F-Super Duty vehicles may have concerns where the instrument cluster defaults back to the trailer tow setup screen every key cycle with no trailer attached. Refer to the Information Display section of the Owner’s Manual or the following steps to correct this concern. Type 1 and 2 Cluster small display – Use the information display controls on the steering wheel and the information display menu. Navigate to Towing and press OK, select Trailer Options and press OK, choose Select Trailer and press OK, finally select No Active Trailer and press OK. Type 3 Cluster large display – Use the information display controls on the steering wheel and the information display menu. Navigate to Towing tab, select Trailer Setup and press OK, then press OK to enter Trailer Options, select Change Trailer Selected and press OK, finally select No Active Trailer and press OK

Mine did this on the 15 and there was snow or condensation in the 7 pin. I dried it with a hairdryer and it stopped.

I’ve had it happen to me a few times after going through a car wash.
I bought a can of CRC Electonics cleaner spray and Di-Electric grease in a spray can as well.
The last time I washed my truck I used both sprays as soon as I got home, haven’t seen yet since spraying it down.

This happened after I towed last, plugged trailer back in and unplugged to resolve it.

Thanks for the info. It's going back in the shop next week. Hopefully they fix it this time. Brand new truck and these issues already. So much for putting a trailer on it and driving in the rain. Disappointed to say the least.

I am having the same issues, 400 miles on a 2018 3.5L V6 EcoBoost. It has rained everyday except one since I bought the truck. Took it to the dealer today(Friday), and they want to keep the truck for a day (Monday) and hook it up to the computers and see if the programming is bad. I have read in multiple forums and now in this one as well that dielectric grease helps as does cleaning and drying the 7 pin. Gonna try that this weekend and see if I can save a trip back.

-Turn on truck
-Trailer Connected Pop Up
-Left Turn Signal Warning Pop Up
-Right Turn Signal Warning Pop Up
-Trailer Disconnected Pop Up
-Followed by a FordPass App Notification about the trailer lights.

Besides the annoying Pop Ups and phone notification the only adverse result of this has been with the auto-start feature not functioning properly
