Default False remote access alerts

I installed the remote access and alarm modules on my 2016 Lariat two years ago when I bought it... it has worked flawlessly since then... never any false alarms.

Tonight I am getting constant Remote Access alerts on my cell phone and alarm activations... it says the security system was triggered by a door opening. I have opened and closed every door and tailgate multiple times... but once I lock it, within 15 minutes it triggers again!

Any advice on what I should check?

I think, if I remember correctly, that the door open alerts come from vehicle systems... and the module I added only added the shock/movement sensor... is that right? So it is not a problem with my remote start/access module or the shock sensor module... but something in the core vehicle system is telling it a door was opened... and then it is sending via my access module to my cell... and flashing vehicle lights... is that correct?

So, is the only way to me to be able to lock my car tonight to go out and choose the sensor disable on the dash, then close and lock door? or is that only INTERNAL sensor disable?

Have you unhooked the battery for 15 minutes?

No. Have not tried that yet. I just selected "Perimeter only" at the vehicle (since I don't see any way to turn off the alarm all together)... and am waiting to see if it does it again.

The Remote Access alert I get on my phone says "triggered by door opening", but is it possible that the remote access does not know the difference between door opening and internal motion detection? ie. if there is a moth or bug in my car, and it sets off the motion sensors, what would the alert text I get on my phone be?

Well, I guess the remote access alert system does not know the difference between doors and inside motion sensors in it's alert messages. Disabling internal sensors corrected the situation... must have been a moth or something flying inside the truck.
