Fake engine noise, not hearing it
I got my truck yesterday and have now drove it about 150 miles. I am not hearing any fake engine noise in the stereo that people are complaining about. Even had my wife listen for it. I don't know what some are complaining about.

Rev it up and listen, then open your driver's door and rev it up. Opening a door should disable the fake sounds.

I was driving on the interstate today and it sounded like a dodge hemi was coming up on my left side. I looked and there was nothing there. It dawned on me that this may be the artificial engine noise. It's not too noticeable, but I am still not sure why we need it. Not complaining! I love my new truck.

Being fake sound is what's corny.
As for sounding like an actual engine can you describe what engines are supposed to sound like? There are so many different ones I didn't know they all are supposed to sound like what you describe as "actual engine"
Thanks in advance.

Seems like this is with the Sony sound system. Nonetheless, if Ford added this to a sound system, what a stupid add on! I mean...what the heck were they thinking? If I get this sound in my Lariat 501A factory stereo, I am bringing it back to the dealer to have them fix it.
Who in the world wants engine sound coming through his music? This is insanity at its best!
