failing ignition switch ??

Default failing ignition switch ??

experiencing an intermittent no crank situation- turn key nothing try again and it starts now about once a week i will have to cycle key 3-4 times before it will start leaning towards a failing ignition switch how would i tell if it is ignition switch or key cylinder is it a simple replacement?? can't find any videos on my model year

The switch signals the BCM to function the starter.
It is not done like old times, switch through Trans switch to start solenoid, but all electronic control.
If there is a failure in that chain, a code should be set that suggest what part of the chain has failed.
