Factory Sub Adjustment
I have a 2016 Lariat SuperCrew with the Factory Sub. I'm wondering if there is any way to adjust the Low Pass Frequency to the sub? Some sort of add on or a setting in Forscan? I listen mainly to Country and 80s/90s Rock and I really don't hear much sound from the sub. Once in a while when the kids are with, I'll switch to some 90s/00s rap just to get a rise out of them and then the sub hits actually doesn't sound too bad. I have the Bass level in the EQ maxed out to help get more bass...but it just seems to me if the frequency sent to the sub was bumped up a little, maybe I'd actually hear more from it when I listen the Country & Rock that I normally listen to.
In my previous F150 (2008 Lariat w/factory sub) I had to replace the head unit as the OEM one quit working. I put in a mid-range Pioneer unit that had a sub output and wired it with a plug and play harness kit from Crutchfield. On that head unit, it had a separate settings just for the sub, frequency cut off and could adjust the power/volume sent to the sub. That sounded really good and I could adjust it to the music I listened to and get it dialed in. I don't want to replace the head unit or replace all of the speakers or do a big tear up...just wondering if there might be something that could be done to get it sound better. Like I said with the lower frequencies it doesn't sound bad, but what I listen to do doesn't seem to really go thru the sub.
Thanks for any thoughts/advice!
