I am guessing that the factory schedules for the 2015 runs are all planned out well in advance? By knowing when the last run of 2015's ends, can we make any valid assumptions about when 2016 production is planned to start, and whether it will be similar to time of year 2015 started or earlier since I am guessing there will not be much assembly line change going in for 2016?

When does Ford usually finalize a model year's changes and plans? Especially in light of the fact that they are just now getting feedback on the 2015's... can we expect a late 2016 production also?

I know there is nothing definite... just looking for educated guesses by those much more familiar with how Ford operates than I am.

 

Anyone know when the last run of 2015 F150's is? And do they start right in with 2016 model run or is there down time and retooling time?

 

I don't think there will many changes to the 2016. Some small ones but nothing big. 2017 will see the changes.

 

Does anyone know the retool schedule? I am on hold for getting my order filled. Ford rep is not returning phone calls.

8/17/2015: 2016 production scheduling begins
9/17/2015: 2016 Production start

U.S..lease plan.com has the same dates except they list 10/12/2015 as first production date for Dearborn and 11/9/2015 as first production date for Kansas City

 

Looks like I'll just miss the 2015, was going to order the second week of August!
