Factory NAV delay issue
I searched for this and couldn't find any similar threads.
I have factory NAV in a 2016 Lariat and I didn't notice it in earlier versions of the Sync 3 software, but I find going into Favorites in NAV causes the software to freeze for 3-10 seconds. I use Favorites a lot - and I find this irritating. It buffers screen touches, so as soon as it return from whatever it was doing (or not doing), it starts jumping and lurching through the list, often selecting the wrong destination. It doesn't always freeze, but it does about 80% of the time and for a variable length of time.
As a workaround, I select Favorites, then wait for about 10 seconds before selecting or scrolling, but this shouldn't be a normal operation.
Anyone else experience this? It may have been present in earlier Sync 3 versions and I just didn't notice, but I'm certainly seeing it now.
Thanks for any feedback.

I only see this behavior in favorites - everything else works flawlessly (old maps aside). As for switching to any of the Android Auto navigation options, I may eventually, but it means hooking up the phone before departing, and a lot of other hassles I don't normally have to do otherwise. When the maps are out of date I may, but for now the data rates and hook-up hassles aren't worth it, particularly since factory NAV wasn't free.
I was hoping to avoid a master reset, but figured if asking here didn't come up with anything, I might have to resort to that. I might also pare-down the number of favorites - or even setup the two default locations (home and work), to see if it improves, before doing a master reset. I don't necessarily want to give car thieves any additional info, so hopefully I can clear the home and work locations after.
I've removed a couple of unneeded favorites (down to 15, plus the two defaults) and set the "Home" and "Work" automatic entries to the local mall. I'll give that a run for a couple of days and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't, I'll have to do a reset and re-add them in over time.
Thanks.
Thanks.
