Default F150leds first impression... rough

My wife decided to try and surprise me with some car parts. She did a great job but F150leds was not so fortunate. This is VERY poor quality as far as construction is concerned. Not sure if I want to attempt this or just return it and get my wife's money back

This piece plugs in there and into another piece but come apart way too easily
There are a dozen of these for some reason and they barely stay connected and came wrapped in a pathetic excuse of an attempt to keep it attached by poorly wrapped electric tape
Incredibly flexible but unprotected. F150leds says it's to maintain flexibility but you're installing these on straight hard surfaces what the hell do I need flexibility for lol
This is my ground wire. The small amount of solder isn't even attached to the ground and the red shrink wrap isn't even attached.

Chinese manufactured quality control. I got the F150leds dual ring cupholder kit for Christmas, hope it lasts even a year. Seriously. I have debated selling it before I even install it.

If it were me, I would send it back. My opinion only.

Thats the same LED tape I get for my RC stuff. I have them in my RC trailer for lighting. It costs about $5 for 3 feet of it.

those strips are from an undercabinet light strip from the look of it - maybe see if you can buy some for cheaper on your own and make your own kit.

I would contact the seller and ask some questions.

Are these going inside the truck or outside? if inside they will be fine just shrink wrap all connections and it will look good. if going out side the truck...... don't do it. You sir are in a interesting position. Your wife thought she was doing you a great favor. for the sake of happiness I would try to use them.

If my wife bought that for me and she saw that craftsmanship... she would be on the phone and returning it herself.
