Default F150 Wind Noise GSB

So I tried twice to get the Ford Dealer to fix this. Once when I first bought the truck brand new a few years back and just a few weeks ago when I had it in for a couple of recalls. Both times they blew me off...

What's really funny this last time they told me that they would have to remove the dash and it's not covered under warranty.... Wow I guess they don't know how to read. It clearly states you remove the cowling to get access. Yes I gave them a copy of this GSB both times.

This is one reason I HATE Ford now is because of my ****ty dealer. I almost did not get the recalls done because I hate going there.

World Ford in Pensacola, FL. Stay away from them.

Anyway with the help of the wife her and I fix the issue our self. Followed the instructions of the GSB (Ford don't know how to read so they could not do this) and used some metal flex tape to seal the pins. Had the wife get to the hard to reach one on the drivers side. Her arms were smaller and could reach it. LOL

Here are some pics of the project. Worked great. Did a test drive when we drive over to the grand babies house for Easter Egg Hunting. No more whistling noise.

I emailed the FCSD CCT (Ford Customer Service Division) person for my state and the Operations Director that works for the dealer and also the service manager about how there service dept operates. Pretty sad they want to lie to you thinking you are stupid. I think most people on this forum are smarter that any ford dealership emp.

If I don't hear back from them. I will post on there social pages. I know they hate that. I had to do that before to get there atten... Worked very welll.

Go here and download the PDF instead of using the ad riddled site: https://ford.oemdtc.com/GSB/G0000020.pdf

I don't have the noise but that is interesting. The wind noise I have, which is little, comes from the doors. I am about to install some surgical tubing (

) inside the door seal. I know of a few people that have done it and say it helps - nothing is perfect but makes it better. I will take some pics and post everything in a thread when I do it - I haven't searched to see if it there is one out there or not.

Wow all the way to Tampa just to buy a truck???

Yea I will stay away from World Ford in Pensacola. They won't get any more business from me or anyone I tell my story too.
