I have a 17 f150 5.0 with 170k on it. Maybe once a month, it will throw codes p061, p0720, p0722, p160A.

The truck runs perfect the rest of the time so I don’t think it’s the transmission at all. Maybe the wiring harness or the solenoids.

When it does throw the code, usually after 20 mins of driving, it will lock into 5th gear and will shift down to third when at a stop.

anyone else have any experience with this issue?

 

Have a look around for lead frame issues on the 6r80.

Have you changed the fluid and filter? How many times? I did mine at 60k and will do a pan drop every 30k.

The 150k service interval on the transmission is part of the problem. Debris will build up and collect on the sensors.
