I got my new Truck, I have contour Leather Seats, and when I go to the settings I have Lumbar support page and Massage Page.

But when I click on anything on those two pages nothing really happens, I went to my dealership and they didn't have any idea, they told me its normal.

My question is "is it normal?"

for what I am talking about

When I click the button, Back or Bottom don't go yellow like in the video neither does the massage start.

I think the massage seats are only available on the king ranch and platinum trims. If you have the option screen on your MFT screen it might have incorrect software loaded. I read another thread here where a guy got the park assist feature but the factory installed the wrong button that did not have the switch. So I would say it is plausible that they installed the wrong software profile in MFT in your Lariat.

 

Hmm, I was trying to Figure out, if software can be loaded then probably the Motor can be retrofitted.

Is that even possible, I think so, but i would need part numbers.

 

Sure that would be pretty intensive, the air chambers that create the massaging motion are integrated into the seat. Also, there is a switch on the side of my seat that also turns them on/off. But, I am sure with enough time and money anything is possible! I am more surprised your dealership did not know Lariats don't have that feature then your truck having incorrect software on MFT.

 

When I look at the Catalog, Seats section this is all I found.

I think the Lumbar is the Massage System. I used a Platinium VIN, not sure if it has massage function.

Part numbers are not expensive.

 

I was under the impression that the Multi-Contour Seats (Massage) were only available on the KR 601A and Platinum models. Odd that you have that profile in your Lariat MFT but I'm willing to bet the farm that its a mistake.
