Default f150 engine torture test

I found a video that is twenty minutes long but follows a specific 3.5l ecoboost engine through about 160,000 miles of torture testing and at the end a tear down to compare specs. The video is about twenty minutes long, feels like a ford commercial but Mike Rowe narrates it.

I had been curious about what sort of testing Ford did with these trucks during the engineering phase. My truck feels more like a luxury vehicle instead of a work horse but after watching this video I'm a little more than impressed with this workhorse of a truck. What they did with this engine far exceeds anything I would ever do. enjoy.

8 years old and history shows the timing chain, phaser issues on gen 1 engines that don’t show up in this video.

I fell for the sales pitch...and my 2011 did not pass the "torture test". I loved the truck while it lasted, but it failed shortly after. (I won't go into details)

My 2011 passed my 40K mile torture test. I didn't have any problems with that truck, but traded it for a 2014.
The engine was trouble free on my 2014, but the lead frame crapped out on the transmission. I traded that truck locally and still see it on the road now and then.
