F段ng FedEx

Lets be honest for a min. These boxes are huge and heavy. He would have remembered delivering it.
When mine was delivered, the driver called me and asked if I would be home to help unload before he loaded it into his truck.
And if he did actually deliver it by himself, it is most likely now going to be smashed in on the corner or folded in half.

Alrighty, venting over, file a police report, and call your credit card company. It’ll be abbit of a process but you’ll probably get your card credited back. Unless you have video evidence of a FedEx guy ripping you off, I wouldn’t jump the gun, most of those guys do fairly well and have a pretty high professional standard. Plenty of other low downs out there prowling people’s ***** that deserve a nice outline of chalk.

Not going to help you with this shipment, but another thought about the Ring doorbell. The Ring Pro has a motion detector as well. You can configure where it looks (and by definition where it does not look to minimize false sensing). I have one, and anyone who comes onto my porch trips the motion sensor, which sends an alert to my phone (which I receive at home, or if I am away from the house). If you have purchased their cloud storage (dirt cheap), it also keeps a recording of each event (a ring, or motion detected). I can see every time a package is left, and if a porch pirate came (fortunately, I have not had a problem yet), I will have a nice picture of them.
Drivers here ring the doorbell about 1/2 the time... but I still know every time they are here... and head upstairs from my home office to collect the package immediately.
It also helps me be "unavailable" when the dude trying to sell me internet shows up at the door.
The only downside I have found is that a determined hacker carrying a sniffer may be able to hack into my wifi. But as I understand it, they likely would have to ring the doorbell to trigger the network traffic under which case... I again have their picture.

It's also not yet time to call the credit card company. You are completely jumping the gun.
The vendor should make this right. The OP contacts the vendor and informs them that the package was not delivered. The vendor files a claim with the shipping service. Almost every vendor I've ever dealt with will reship immediately. Then they'll work things out with the shipping company. It makes not one bit of difference who contracted with whom to take the package from the terminal loading dock to the truck or from the truck to the door.
If the process is not resolved by the vendor, then it's time to contact your credit card company. The police have no business in this unless there is clear evidence of a theft... and they have much better and more important things to be doing.

One time I ordered 5 tires for my jeep, and the UPS truck showed up and wheeled four tires off. I asked where the 5th was. He confirmed there were five, but searched his truck and the 5th wasn't there. Trying to figure out still how they lost a tire, but they did. Ended up having to file a claim with UPS, and about 15 days later a replacement tire showed up. I still wonder if they ever found a random tire at the warehouse.
One tire showed up on the original expected delivery date. Two more arrived the next day. The fourth was finally in my hands about a week and several phone calls with FedEx later and had gotten a little more travel than its friends due to a label coming off.

I bought snow tires from Amazon this year because no one in town sells Nokian, but one of the better local garages was happy to mount them if I ordered online.

I have notified both FedEx and RealTruck last Friday,
RealTruck emailed me saying they have to give FedEx a mandatory 72 hour investigation period. If nothing is resolved a new shipment would be sent with a mandatory signature required.
My only thoughts on this is why would a signature not be required in the first place? It’s not like I ordered a $100 part they sell this cover for $900 all day long ($695 is what I paid), I would expect to sign for it.
