I have 2018 F150
I am adding four LED accent lights to my topper and want to tie in with the taillights. With all the sophistication in sensing issues with electrical and electronics will I have trouble simply connecting to the taillights in the old fashion way of cutting and splicing into the wiring?

If you want them to be on whenever the parking lights are on, you can always tie into the license plate lights. I added the Super Duty Dually 3-light bar just above the license plate on my truck and tied into the license plate lights without any issue.

 

Im having the same problem with adding running lights along the step bar and I tapped into the park lights so the lights come on sometimes with the park lights and sometimes they don't so I'm thinking of trying to tapped into the fog lights anyone else tried this?
