I've been looking at new trucks via the net.
Upon looking at the window stickers, I noticed on some of the window stickers, there is a Federal Excise Tax of $100, on "some" of the trucks.
It seems to be hit and miss, as I've NOT seen it on all window stickers, and NOT just in one particular state.
Is this because of it being a truck, that's not as fuel efficient as a smaller type car??
Just curious.
Thanx

Excise Tax
Excise taxes are taxes paid when purchases are made on a specific good, such as gasoline. Excise taxes are often included in the price of the product. There are also excise taxes on activities, such as on wagering or on highway usage by trucks. One of the major components of the excise program is motor fuel.
Per the IRS

are any of these trucks on the lot modified or considered Heavy Duty?
