Default Existing Sirius Subscriber

So wayyyy back in the day I got Sirius, and they offered a life time subscription on it. So I bought it. Still have it. Question as I believe the sat radios have specific S/Ns on them that link to your account. Is there anyway (ForScan for example) to transfer my existing sub from my stand-a-lone radio thingy to the Radio in my F150. It currently has the 'free' radio in it.

Just wondering if anyone has done this?

You'd have to call Sirius to do it. But I would wait. Have you been notified of the lawsuit and settlement currently in the works? I have 3 lifetime subscriptions and will wait to see how this plays out before I transfer anything. Under the current contract terms, as soon as you transfer a lifetime subscription from a plug-and-play radio to one in a vehicle, it's tied to that vehicle forever, and can't be transferred again. Under the settlement that is being proposed, it will truly be lifetime and can be transferred between vehicles for a fee.

I did not know there was a lawsuit. I knew in my 'original contract' there was the possibilty of transferring it up to 3 times to different radios. But I do remember reading that if you transfered it to a vehicle it was tied to it.

Although I hope that this translates to Canada as well but who knows.

Have ( 3 ) lifetime subscriptions. @ the time of the purchase, the offer was you could transfer it ( 1 ) time for a $ 75.00 fee. I have transferred two of them so far under this offer...............( these were not portable units )
The purchase(s) were a long time ago, ( 9 & 10 years ), not sure what the current purchase offer states..

With the way cell phones and their pricing plans have come down over the years, what did you pay for the lifetime plan? Currently you can get Sirius on your car and a phone app for $6.06 a month. The phone app allows you to use it on any car/device that your phone can connect to.

Default transfer of sirius

We bought the Sirius lifetime when we had our 2008 Escape Hybrid. We have switched it from there to stand alone units and now to our 2019 Lariat. It cost about $300 one time. This is our third switch so I'm assuming it is our final switch. Be great if the lawsuit goes ahead as it has been great to keep it going. We are Canadian owners

Sirius doesn't sell lifetime subscriptions anymore. We purchased one for our 2011 Escape. When we bought our 2017 Escape, I was told they discontinued the lifetime subscriptions.

I purchased two PnP radios in 2004 with lifetime subscriptions. I was told then that if I transferred them to a vehicle, they were tied to that vehicle forever. I still have both units and have never transferred either one. Would be nice to use the subscriptions on our new vehicles instead.
